I had a post mortein done of 3 chicks and they had infectious bursal disease-now what should I do?
Give amoxicillin?

I am so upset-my very pricey and loved chicks are dying one after another

So sorry for your loss. :hugs

You rock for getting post mortum! :highfive:

Anti biotics will not do anything for viral infections as they work on bacteria but not viruses. They MIGHT help a secondary infection, but that only counts if there is something secondary.

Do you have any probiotics or vitamins you can offer to support their own immune system while the T cells rally to fight the virus?

I'm gonna do some more research as I haven't heard of or dealt with this specifically before. Hang in there! :fl

Thank you so much. I am very grateful. God bless people like you for helping out. Yes there are vitamins and I will give it to them on daily basis then.
