I USED to live in Wisconsin. It is a nice place to be FROM

I also lived in Wisconsin for three years in the early 1960's. It was an experience, but I kind of enjoyed it. Being from Arizona, I loved the rain. The snow was fun for about the first fifteen minutes.

I learned to ice fish, but haven't had a chance to do that since then.

Gold is now at $1,509.90. Speculators must be making real fortunes with the weird price swings.

Pffftttt! Phooey on IL. You people need some serious driving lessons. Nothing scarier to those in Northern Wisconsin that a motor home with IL plates!

I took a wrong turn in IL once and got trapped on a bunch of toll roads during rush hour. Almost had to sell a kidney to get out of there!!!

I definately can relate to that, Wifezilla.....it is pure maddening! No wonder our gov't is corrupt from being greedy with the tolls!

I wasn't intending on derailing the thread from the original intent. My point about Illinois was the "Used to live in" part. Moved after 43 years and have never ever looked back.

On the original thread note.
The heirloom seeds are sprouting nicely. There will be a lot of green beans going into mason jars this summer.
Had a storm roll through overnight and lost power. It seems that it was a sign to take some money out of savings and invest it into a small solar power system.
