I've been pondering about BB bantys, are they good?

My main standards are for petness and companionship, e.g, not being flighty, enjoys sitting on laps, and bonds well to one owner. Are they cold hardy, do they get heavy, do they lay sufficient amounts of eggs, etc?

Any opinions on the breed for future reference would be great! :)
I've read about them online and they seem pretty good.
(I know what Banty Cochins are like so I hope BB's are better. 🙄 .)

We have standard BB and they are may FAV! not flighty at all! in fact one of them likes to try and follow me in the house for a good nap. their eggs are small, but we get one about every other day.
I love them too, they are definitely my favorite as well! 🤗
I have the standard Brahmas and just lost my only standard BB Boo. 😔
I have currently two dark Brahmas, and three light Brahmas! :D They are all just the friendliest of all my birds.
(I actually co-own the flock with my sis.)

Okay, that's good to know! :). Are they something that feedstores will get, or are they kind of hard to get and an online only kind of thing.

I've never seen them in any of my feed stores. In fact, I've never even seen them in person. I actually think that they might be rare..

For me, it's just the fact that I wouldn't want more of the standard because their size causes major health problems later in life. She was always porking out on the food, it's no wonder she was the biggest lady! :lau .

I just wouldn't want to get another one and see it die the same way. .

Online only for sure. I would recommend Cackle if you wanted to breed them. No feed store would most likely ever have them in stock. (or even order them)
Okay, :hmm . I wouldn't plan to breed them, just mainly for pet quality.... :)
I have a big BB rooster that I wanted to breed to my mix hen, but that never really turned out. .

Thank you though! :D.

My feedstore guy is pretty good to me, so I'll have to ask him next spring if he'd order some for me. 😏 .

I think I saw them on his chicken season list.
