Infomercials you didn't resist? I admit Eggies got ME

I don't collect egg plates as energetically as I collect the "hens on nest" dishes, but I am drawn to them and have managed to acquire about six different egg plates. So that makes at least four of us.

Ooh, I love the hens on nest dishes. My favorite is either the Hull one, since I also collect Hull pottery, or the milk glass ones.

I bought curtains from Fingerhut that were overpriced and looked NOTHING like the picture. The eggie looks cool, but I don't really have a need for one. But I did have a rooster that looked just like the slapchop guy!

I saw a hen-on-nest dish a few days ago in a thrift store and was going to buy it for you, but they had it marked "Collectibble" (I guess they don't believe in "collectables" there LOL) and had it marked up to $40. I put it back, and the lady said, "Oh, people collect those!" I said, "Yeah, but this is a thrift store, not an antique shop and should be priced accordingly."

I think you must have to get further into the phone order for the option of the poachers? They show them on the actual tv commercial.

Quail eggs, you'd think, would work ok in the Eggie...maybe also could put in several eggs at a time.

One of the major reasons I want them is to be able to season the raw eggs and add other ingredients. Having to crack each egg only one time is a bonus.

Oh don't you just LOVE milk glass?

I love that stuff… especially the white knobby milk glass. One of my favorites, right next to blue carnival glass!

ETA: Thanks to the OP for this thread. I haven't seen the Eggies infomercial yet. I've been going to bed early (for a change). LOL. I might not have found them were it not for this thread. I love crap like this!
