The movie in my opinion was absolutely horrible. The intentions of certain characters, and their motivations are totally different in the movie, the way they are described in the book and the way they look in the movie was different. I also got really attached to Brom while reading the book, and in the movie they did him no justice, especially when he died and they buried him. If you like the book, don't watch the movie.

I agree! If someone has never read the book, they will like the movie, but the movie left out sooooo much!

I didn't realize he decided to write a fourth book. I thought it was just to be a trilogy. I've not read Brisinger yet...guess I need to get my hands on that one! I have both Eragon and Eldest, so I need book 3 now LOL

It was originally suppose to be a trilogy, but when he was writing the final book, which I think was supposed to be titled, Empire, he realized that it was going to be too long, and split it into two books. So now we all must patiently wait for him to finish writing it

I heard it's not suppose to come out until late 2010 or possibly 2011

They also want to make Eldest into a movie, I think Hollywood should just leave them alone.

I was told I would cry when I saw the movie... I probably am going to see it just to see how bad it is.

I almost cried when I finished Eldest though...

Debi, I totally agree! Those are some of my all-time favorites.

What a love story!!!! And it ALMOST seems real because of the mystic quality of Stonehenge. I still have to read the last two books, but boy one in I cannot put them down.

I read them, I guess that Brisingr was pretty much just setting the scene for the final book. I liked it alright.

After you're done with that, try The Mists of Avalon. Wonderful book! You'd love it.

Well since we're all reccomending fantasy books you should try Dragons in Our Midst (just a warning: it's a Christian series). It's a really awesome series.
