Injured beak

Thank you everyone for your kind words and advice. We were heartbroken at the loss of our chickens and just want to do right by our remaining chicken.

How's she doing? She may benefit from a quiet friend if she's perking up a bit. Are you planning on getting any more?

She still isn't quite herself. We haven't seen her eat yet. We are planning get on getting chixkens but thought we should wait until she is healed up.

Chicks would be alright I think, so long as she she gets some company. They don't like to be alone for long and it may encourage her to eat if she's able. If your putting in heat for them she may enjoy it too

We were going good to get chick's. Do you think we should oak for a timid adult chicken?
Point of lay pullets would be best...Or like you said another hen...Pecking order changes from flock to flock so a once timid bird might be more aggressive...Let us know what you decide and how the hen is doing...?

Cheers!

We still haven't seen our poor chicken eat, but she is pooping so I hope that means she must be eating at least a little. She isnt herself at all, but she is hanging in there. We will be getting more chick's as soon as possible so that she won't be alone.
