I found this injured abandoned chick… seems to have a wound on the wing, and was crying so I rescued it. It was wet and no mother in site. I’ve dried it out by warming up a Sock with rice and surround with wash clothes and warm socks. I think it’s legs are shaking a bit and seems to be straightened out.. it sure if it had nerve damage ? please advise.

Yes ~ the picture is attached. It’s sleeping right now. I put some neosporin on the wounded area.. it doesn’t look too bad… but the bird seems better but I think it needs sleep. I dabbed some water on its beak and it seemed to take a few swallows.

Hello, welcome to BYC. Without pictures I'm not sure we can help.
Warmth, which you are providing, is the first step. Do you have any chick starter and electrolytes?
I have chick starter(from another chick I tried to rescue but it passed away I believe from overheated on heat pad. :-( it was only a few days old. - no electrolytes

You are doing excellent. Do you have a heating pad. A heating pad, made into a cave, can give it a snuggly place to stay warm. It needs to be low enough so the chick can touch its back to it, when inside the cave.

I have a heated rice sock that I’ve been re-heating for 40 sec in the microwave. And then putting in a small box with lots of fuzzy socks and washcloths around like a nest.
