Well, we made it to the evening in our dog crate in the house and she went nuts. Normally I’d let her be but b/c of her injuries to the comb, i cant have her acting a fool in the crate. Crying and trying to get out. If she rips that comb we’ll be in big trouble. I took her out and put her on my lap. Shes calm on my lap. I made it dark in the house and placed her on the roost in the crate after about 20 minutes on my lap. I put a blanket over the crate and shes quite now. Phew. I gotta wake up B4 her so she doesnt start actin’ nuts again when the sun comes up. Thank you to everyone here that offered sound, thoughtful advice and time. I appreciate you all. If nothing else, the support I felt was comforting. I only cried for about 5 seconds and then got strong again. Thank you.
