Hey everyone - I have a ~3 month old silkie cockerel.
He is in my flock that gets along great and is never picked on.
2-3 days ago I noticed his wing looked a little funny. He is holding it slightly down and away from his body.
I picked him up and palpated the entire wing - found no fractures or dislocations.
He didn't seem to mind and didn't appear painful - he can pull back his wing but not seemingly with the same force as his other.
He is getting along completely fine - eating and drinking well. Free ranging with the others when I am home to watch.
His wing isn't drooping to the point where it drags or trips him.
It hasn't gotten any worse or any better.
I am just wondering if this is something I should attempt to wrap to the body of if that will likely cause issues with him and the girls as he will have something on him they will want to get off - I know I can keep him away from the others with my other silkie but they are doing amazing with my LF girls and I wouldn't want to cause any setbacks in the group dynamics by taking them away and having to re introduce them.
Blurry head but you can see how the wing is being carried
side wing shot
the wing closer to the other silkie is the one affected - frontal view.
Thanks in advance for any input.
