Cool action!Well, I just gave her the first pill on my own (vet gave the very first dose yesterday). While looking through my options in our kitchen, I remembered that our girls go insane over bananas.
So I herded them all into what's left of our small vegetable garden (they've already eaten most of the veggies), and then further herded the injured one into a dog X pen (I just opened a full side so she wouldn't have to step over the opening in the gate). That way, they could all still see each other without me having to worry about the wrong duck getting the medication.
Obviously, they were still stressed about being separated by a fence; but the moment I started tossing out banana chunks, it was a duck feeding frenzy! Once all three were wrapped up in wolfing down banana chunks, I slipped the pill into a chunk and tossed it to the injured girl. Only took two attempts for success.
Have not tried bananas for the duckies. Must try that when my wife is not at home, otherwise i have to sleep in the duck-house (She loves bananas!).
