Injured Duck Neck - Side to Side Movement

Miss Lydia, I'm actually starting to ferment the duck and chicken feed this weekend, I hear that it adds a lot of nutrients to their diet and they get more out of what they eat! She only goes in the pool if I bring her over and plop her in, then take her out after a bit and is always supervised. She's started eating more since I've been providing her with a mash instead of crumbles and seems to be greatly improving. All of her wounds have closed up and are healing up nicely and now it's just wait and see, like you said.
Jake the Drake from Statefarm (husband named him :lau) is great with her. He isn't overbearing and stays close to her and gives her little love nips here and there and is always somewhere that he can keep a close watch on her :)

I like Jake the Drake that is cool. Sounds like a perfect gentleman too.

I also make FF for my flock it's been close to 6 yrs now since I started feeding them the FF I totally agree on it being so much better for them. I hope it makes a big difference in your little ones healing.
Please keep me updated. Hoping for full recovery :fl

So Scoot is still having issues walking and tends to just walk or swim in a circle, but she manages to get around and has made amazing progress in her recovery!! Figured I would update with some good news seeing as we just had to put down a Liege Fighter with Marek's... fingers crossed that the rest had a chance to build up a resistance from the vaccinations and we don't end up in catastrophe :(:hmm:fl

She's still doing great! We think she is blind as she uses Jake the Drake as her guide around the yard by walking wing to wing with him and constantly quacking at each other. She has no problem finding her way to food or water, though! I take her out and plop her next to the pool each day and tuck her in at dusk so that she is always safe - I think she is going to be just fine :)

:thumbsupThank you so much for the update!
Unfortunately, during an incredibly hot day, Scoot wandered too far from the coop and water supply while I was at work. Being that she was blind, she was unable to find her way back to the coop and passed away from what I believe was heat stroke :'(

Thank you for all the love and support that you showed us <3
