Injured feral pigeon - need help!

He does seem twitchy on that leg. Another video of him trying to walk might help. As to trying to determine the sex....now there is a question! One way that seems to work is to feel down the sternum(breastbone) towards the rear of the bird. Toward the back end almost between its legs there is two bones if they feel close together it will be male if they feel further apart it will be female.
Do you have any other birds?

I don't have any other birds no, never have. I have a very mischievous cat and they are being STRICTLY separated hahaha!!!

Bearing in mind that I have no real experience with injured pigeons, is it possible that setting up some sort of sling might help to alleviate some of the weight off his legs and possibly help to promote some sort of recovery?
I was thinking of something along the lines of a rag with holes for the feet that wrapped gently around his body and hung just high enough that his feet could touch the ground if he wanted to or he could just hang there.

Again, someone please feel free to correct me if this wouldn't be a good idea.

I think that is certainly worth trying! Great photo to demonstrate.:thumbsup

Food solved! Will he drink if you hold a cup of water to him?

Not really, no. He sort of sips at it but I can't tell if anything is actually going in or not. I gave him a little water this morning via syringe but nothing since then, unless he's drinking when I'm not looking. He does move around in the cage a bit so I did wonder if he was trying to get to the water bowl.

That's what it looks like when they drink, pigeons use their beaks like a straw. They dip their beak in and that's all you would see. They do not take water and then throw their head back to swallow like chickens and many other birds.
