Injured goose appears abandoned by flock

A goose with what appears to have a broken leg appears on the median where I live. With the extreme heat I have started leaving water and bread out for it. What other food can I provide? It disappears for a day or two then comes back.

Wild bird seed or grains of some sort would be a better choice. Thanks for caring.

A broken leg obviously makes it vulnerable to predators - can you contact a local rehabilitator to see if they can assist?
