Crowing
Look for any raised scales on her legs. That is a way to determine leg mites.I didn’t see bumblefoot, though I’m not positive I didn’t miss it either. What would leg mites or a sprained ankle look like?
Yeah she was roosting and nearly fully recovered— this morning, she just came out of her coop croaking and limping. Her flock won’t leave her side and she’s back in the run.
That’s good to hear! I’ll be sure to keep an eye on it through the day to see if it gets better.
I could not find any physical evidence of anything being wrong with my rooster when he sprained his leg. He just limped and after a couple months it went away.
I also kept my rooster with the flock once his limping stopped hindering his normal chicken behaviors. As long as she isn't being picked on, which it sounds like she isn't, she should be okay once she starts walking more, even if she is limping.
