Injured hen

My hen has a cut on her neck, I'm guessing it's from the rooster. Im not sure how serious this is, if I should just let her be, or put something on it and isolate her. I haven't noticed the others going after her at the moment.

From the looks of her comb, she's either a little scrapper or she's seriously being picked on. Of course, the rooster could have done the comb damage when mating her, in which case his beak and spurs need to be trimmed and blunted.

Bacteria knows no species. It colonizes any wound on any animal or human when left to frolic on its own. So you do need to clean all chicken wounds, flushing away all bacteria with soap and water or other wound cleanser. Then apply an antibacterial ointment to continue to thwart bacteria.

Ok thanks! I got a small dog crate from a friend and have her in there for now
