hi! one of my chickens was limping this morning and after examination we saw a little blood on her leg. it doesn’t seem to be injured on the outside enough for her to be limping so much. is there another problem?

Hi there! The injury looks fairly minor from the photos. Clean the wound with a gentle soap or Vetricyn/Betadine spray and slather with Neosporin (non-pain killer version). You can wrap with non-stick gauze and Vetwrap if you have it. Clean and reapply Vetricy/Betadine every other day and watch for infection.

Check for other injuries as well and monitor her for the next few days to make sure she is getting adequate food and water.

Good luck, keep us posted!
