Injured or sick eye and beak on chicken

Ok. I did some research. See attached. Nothing beats first hand info though. As of 2016 you need a vet prescription for effective oral antibiotics but there are licensed online vets in California that may be able to assist quickly. Good luck!

final update: she died last night. Thank you everyone for trying to help her. I think she needed oral antibiotics but I was told I needed the vet and didn’t know how or what to order online. In the future is there a chicken antibiotic that should be kept on hand for these unexpected situations?

I’m so sorry, she passed. You did good trying to save her, she knew love in her last days.

I’ve seen people say they buy antibiotics here for birds:

I keep amoxicillin on hand that I bought before antibiotics were banned for sale in farm stores. A lot of people keep baytril. I think Terramycin is good to have on hand for eye injuries, since they aren’t all that uncommon. Sometimes it’s questionable if having antibiotics on hand is worth the hassle because they might expire before they get used.
