Don't get toooooo emotional about pigeon relationships. Many of those are the category that would be on Jerry Springer.
There are the Casanova type with multiple mates, as well as mates with same orientation mates
It is good that you rescued this one. The mate probably found a new piggie, or went back to old girlfriend

Whew, good to know!! I hope that she bonds to my husband and I, and we will be all she needs to be happy..

Rose is doing awesome! Just rec'd her DNA results back to confirm that she is a female. Getting in touch with some rescues to see if I can adopt a friend for her.
