I just got some Bourbon Reds and some Holland Whites off of a lady on Craigslist. She threw in the injured turkey for free. She said that it was injured by a hawk "a while ago". Who knows how long a while ago really is. So, it's a bit smaller than the others (they are supposed to be around 15 weeks old) and it holds it's wing out funny. There are no maggots on the injured areas, and the skin was clearly torn away. It seems to be eating and drinking all right, and the others don't seem to pick on it. So, should I just leave him/her alone? Or should I cull the turkey in case it is suffering? What would you do?
And don't worry...the five of them are quarantined.
