Injured two day old chick

So far yes 🙏
I was trying to figure out how to update my original post
She's still eating and drinking
I took a picture and looking at it I noticed peck marks on her body 😭
I'm starting to have conversations with her 🤭
Oop you’ve caught the chicken bug! You may find yourself wanting more chicks come spring 🤣

I was wondering if she had sustained some pecking on her body when you posted the first pics. Do the wounds look okay? You might want to give her a really good once over if you haven’t yet, put some ointment on those wounds, too.

**update on injured baby chick**
Thank you to everyone for all the suggestions and information. All very helpful.
The pictures are from yesterday. Looking at the pictures I noticed peck marks on her little tiny body 😭
She's eating and drinking
She's a fighter

I don't know when she'll be ready to wonder the backyard, she's so little 😔

She's eating and drinking with no problems.
I took some pictures yesterday and I noticed her little tiny body has peck marks 😭 I'm applying triple antibiotic on them as well.
Thank you

She looks bad there but seems to be coming along well since she's eating and drinking!

If her homicidal mother has a clutch of chicks walking around, once she heals up, which will be probably a couple of weeks, you can try to sneak her in with the others. Instinctively, she'll hang with her siblings and mom.

If you want to raise it though, you could try swipe one of the siblings to put with her. It would be better for her to grow up with other chickens. I think I'd try the first one though. I've done that a couple times.

Poor little baby, she got a rough start to life. Don’t be discouraged, though. As others have said, they heal remarkably well and she really is a fighter, eating and drinking still. She will do just fine with you looking out for her. Looks like she might be a naked neck too.

I like @Debbie292d s ideas, but do be aware sometimes the moms just decide they don’t want chicks anymore after hatching them and that’s why they attack. Sometimes they can sense weaker, sick or injured chicks, too, and attack, so be watchful if you choose to try to give her back in a few weeks. If you choose to keep her, I agree she’ll be happier with friends.

I thought it looked a little better 😭
I saw the mom yesterday with her two babies, those chicks look fine. I don't want to get close to her, she might attack me for taking her chick away 🤭
