You are wonderful for helping her. Do you have antibiotics (oral), just in case you need them? I would not put the chick with the mom ever.

It looks betterI thought it looked a little better
I saw the mom yesterday with her two babies, those chicks look fine. I don't want to get close to her, she might attack me for taking her chick away![]()
I was talking to my husband about it. I don't want to send her out thereIt looks betterdon’t worry. Are you planning on keeping the chick and raising it? Just curious. I think we’re all in love and invested in her now!
I don't, I just have the triple antibiotic ointment. You are wonderful for helping her. Do you have antibiotics (oral), just in case you need them? I would not put the chick with the mom ever.
Thank youI don't, I just have the triple antibiotic ointment.
Well some people do keep house chickens, some because they just want to or some bc of a special needs chicken. But I will tell you, I kept a chicken inside for the last week or two of her life when she got sick and they can be a lot of work and mess. And that was a sick chicken who didn’t do much. It’s ultimately a personal choice, thoughI was talking to my husband about it. I don't want to send her out there
I told him that we could get a big cage and keep her insidehe said she's a chicken
I'm going to figure something out, I wouldn't be able to send her out.
That's how I ended up with four cats![]()
As long as you can give her a good quality life and she isn’t lonely, it doesn’t matter what you choose to do.I don't, I just have the triple antibiotic ointment.
I'm so very sorry. With great sadness, I write that Baby Chick crossed the rainbow this morning. Thank you all so much for the help. Even though she was with me for a couple of days, it hurt. I saved her from her mom the day I picked up the ashes of my pet. She had put a little smile in my broken heart. I never named her because I was afraid to. This morning, when I saw how fragile she was, I called her Chirpy. I really truly tried my hardest to save her. Some of you might think I'm overreacting, but I'm a very sensitive person. Again, thank you guys so much for everything.
Her couple of last days she felt your love after being brutalized by her mother. You can feel comfort knowing you made her feel loved.
