You're definitely not the worst duck owner!! We all have those days though that make the smallest things feel so overwhelming. Take a deep breath, you're doing a great job!
Bumblefoot is a pretty common thing with backyard birds, and your case doesn't appear to be terrible. Looks like you caught it early! Follow the experts advice and she'll be back to normal in no time!
 
Funny story for today. I kind of work remotely--which means away from my boss. Haven't seen him around because of budget meetings. So guess who walks in today when I have the duck there? And then decides to sit down for over an hour to catch up with sales? I can hear the duck hitting the cage and trying to make noise. I keep hitting print and then I turn the radio on. The one girl goes my chair keeps making noises.... Im thinking no that isn't your chair. He goes to the bathroom and I tell them all to stop talking to him so he leaves cuz I have a duck with me. I thought he would never leave--I was so not myself.

My little duck stayed pretty quiet thankfully. After he left she stayed in my lap. It looked like I had a pillow fight with myself. Feathers everywhere. Then of course the duck bag with food, water, heat lamp all unpacked everywhere. I felt like I had a baby again.
 
Keep soaking it will get softer can use like a fork tine to pry it bit after soaking you have to try to get kernel out

A fork tine? Oh my gosh! I use my nail or a pair of tweezers. Get the clear iodine and after soaks put that on it really helps. That was hilarious about your duck at work with you. How did he not know that ?:lol::lol:
 
Do you have any of those cozies you could cut her a shoe for under her foot then wrap in vet wrap snug but not too tight. that way you can keep her foot flat and off some softness underneath. wrap above the ankle and up the leg a ways or she'll get it off.
