Ink on Leather

How does one get it out? Blue ink from a ballpoint pen on a white leather strap of a purse.

now dont try this until someone else chimes in!..but..i think i heard rubbing alcohol works..

hairspray is a great ink remover, but I am not sure if you can use it on leather.

We are all right...alcohol is the magic ing in hairspray that does the trick...but read this first before trying the alcohol or hairspray

Rubbing alcohol should work, get the higher concentration stuff, but do try a test spot like on the bottom just in case. Dab and wick, try to avoid rubbing, since that might leave a blue smudge.
