I think I stopped sleeping normal ever since I got my first kid

(32 years ago) before that, not even the fireworks on new year’s eve could wake me up, ever since I’ve become a mom, I wake up at every sound, even just the pump of the furnace ( in the basement) wakes me up

I usually get up between 4-5 am, wake up a few times at night and have trouble falling asleep, seems I’m not the only one, so misery loves company

I could never fall asleep during the day ( how I would loved to have that talent when the kids were younger) ever since I got my covid jab, I can sleep during the day, IF I have enough time….( which I usually don’t) since I have a lot of nervous energy ( don’t ask me how I still can have any

) it takes me just an hr. to wind down, then I have to know (!) I have at least 2 hrs. if I don’t, I start stressing out : only 1,5 hrs. left to sleep, only 1 hr left to sleep, you catch my drift… but if I do fall asleep ( usually, it is only 20 minutes) I feel really refreshed

so, that is why I don’t sleep very often during the day to catch up on all the sleep I missed during the nights

if I have a long drive ahead of me, I usually get up early, and drive till 3pm, any later, all those sleepless night catch up to me, and I’m in danger of falling asleep at the wheel
