I keep seeing posts like this on Instagram and was just curious if it's true. Not sure if you have to have an Instagram to see it but basically people putting in their chickens feed red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, cinnamon, and maybe other things I've forgotten helps with a lot. Does it really?

Those make for a good fire cider mix - I have used that for myself and found it to work quite well as a general health booster... but 1) I use it fermented which makes most things more bio-available, 2) I highly doubt that the dehydrated version of all those things carries the same antibacterial properties are the fresh herbs and condiments and 3) I am not sure how those things carry over to chickens' metabolism.

Fire cider recipe with explanation for ingredients and adequate source citing for each too, for example: https://goodfoodbaddie.com/fire-cider-recipe/
