We are wanting to install a PVC water nipple system in our new chickie coop and was wondering how high to make it and how far apart to put the nipples. I will have 12 girls so would 4 nipples be enough or do I need more?

I was wondering the same exact thing.

    4 would be sufficient.
If they're vertical nipples, they should be about the height of the top of the head or a bit higher. If they're horizontal, eye level is better.
If your birds are of various heights, horizontal nipples work better.

I like drinker cups too. They don't leak and are easy to clean by just twisting them off.
They don't work in freezing weather though.
