My Coop
Used plastic sheeting with straw packed behind to insulate the coop framing today. Then, I caulked the seams and cracks between wall boards.

Then, I laid deep bedding on the floor of the coop.

I feel great about how it turned out. Upstate NY winters can be brutal...

I am "upstate" of you in the Great White North.

My coop is not insulated 'cause my chickens are; they have thrived in temperature in the -30Cs just need to make sure they have all the feed and water they want, the right spaces and "toys" to keep them from being bored. AND they give me eggs almost every day.

Keep your eyes peeled for mice and other critters who will love the nests that you have built for them.
