Insulted

Hey, it works the other way too. I've been out shopping with the wife and the salesman tries to convince the wife in order for her to "make me buy it, to keep her happy". The wife still thinks I'm rude when a business or salesman lies and distorts the facts and I just turn away and leave-------lie to me and I have no further interest in your business or product----ever.

It's called "Curmudgeon Power"

I hate anything to do with a male salesperson and a vehicle. I went to an O'Reilly the other day to have the batteries tested in my big ol' beasty diesel. The guy tested one battery, making faces and all sorts of things, had to convince him to test the second one, then all of the sudden, he's all "alternator is bad, batteries are bad, lets get you all set up, I know a guy who can put it in cheap". Then, I just ask him for a quote because I want to go check prices, and he gets really pushy about buying them now, telling me "you won't make it down the road". Um, I drove there, didn't I? This gets me really suspicious, so I drive it down the road to another place (I think it was a Napa), and have them test it. What do you know, everything tests out just fine, although one battery is old and he did suggest replacing it just because it is almost seven years old. I was planning to replace it anyway, and guess who DIDN'T get the sale??

Just because I'm a woman and don't know everything about my vehicle doesn't mean that I can't call a con when I see one.

And, with the car thing, it just drives me nuts. Every time DH and I have shopped for a new vehicle they'd ask him all kinds of questions and he'd direct them to me. He knows less about vehicles than I do! And, because my dh loves/respects/needs peace, I have final say on pretty much everything, 'cuz if I ain't happy-ain't NOBODY happy.

But, it's the way of the world I suppose.

I would make sure the management knows... just in case they have hired a worker who is a terrible customer face and does not know it because some people are real good at being two faced and suck ups to their boss. If nothing is done, then so be it.

Customer service these days is awful! My fiance and I went to purchase a 30' 5th wheel RV... they guy was showing us some and we told him our price range. He showed us a couple that we didn't really care for and while we were looking at them he just walked off!! We found him on the porch of his office building.... we just left! I couldn't believe it.... we were paying cash and wanted to buy one that day! Oh well.... his loss... we got one we liked elsewhere and for a lot less money.

I've decided I'm not going to patron stores that have bad customer service. Sometimes if you even ask where something is people act like it puts them out. Go figure!

You don't have to be female to get shoddy treatment. An acquaintence of mine (male) was in the market for a high dollar luxury automobile. I forget what kind. He went into the dealership and the salesperson was real snooty and apparently decided that this man didn't have enough money to buy the car and would be a waste of his valuable time. He was rude and refused to show my friend any automobiles. So my friend left. He went down the street to a dealership of a competing brand of expensive luxury automobles. This salesman was courteous, helpful, and showed my friend several models he thought he might like. My friend selected one, paid cash for it, and drove it away. He then went back to the first dealership, found the rude salesperson, and showed him his new car. He said the look on the salesman's face when he realized the commission he had just lost was priceless.

Yes, the fender was for my dad's dully. It was going to be a surprise for him. He wanted to paint his truck..never happened.

You're correct, the rear quarter panel is what I desired. I said it right on the phone, just didn't type it. Ya'll know what I meant.

Yes, I would send a letter to the manager along with a photo copy of the reciept for the $2500 you spent in another store due to the rude employees at their place. Let them know the word is out on the net on how crappy they treat people(especially women!) One thing I love about the net is it gets the word out very fast and wide on bad companies.

Just don't give your full name in case those loser workers want to look you up if they get reprimanded.

Seems to me you could dis them on CL letting folks know who they are and how you were treated. You might also post it to their site and let them know you are going to there competitor. I make no secret of verbally advertizing when I get treated bad at a store. It never fails that they go under sooner or later.

There was a thing on TV where a woman opened an Auto repair shop with great success. Ladies you don't have to know cars just hire smart men and make sure they treat you customers with respect, though this lady did know cars.

You should have posted their name here too.
