Integration advice, 8.5 and 4.5 week olds

Is the only access you have to that tiny coop from the door in front?
More pics of that please, showing inside and ventilation.

The small opening in the fence between runs should be adjustable in size and closable.
Yes, they need rain shelter in the small run, just leaning a good size board up against the fence would do, leave egress at both ends.

Rain shelter not an issue easily done . I don’t want to confuse matters with the little coop, because Id rather they slept together. my husband just knocked a shelter up for them and there isn’t any other access which is why I don’t think it will work if they do choose to go in their given I’ve been advised to put them in big coop when they are all roosting. Unless I get him to make it a removable roof tomorrow.

I don’t understand about an adjustable small gap in fence. If it’s small enough for them to get through and too big for the others.

This was instead of spending money on a triangle run with an enclosed end which is essentially just a wooden box with a door.

Well sometimes you find that the hole is too big so need something to make it smaller.
I've had slimline adult hens squeeze thru a 4x4" hole.
Putting a concrete block in there to make opening narrower might work.
If that's 2x4 fencing, might just be able to squeeze the wires to make every other 2" opening bigger...tho they may be too big for that already...otherwise just cut one wire section out to make a 4x4 opening and use block to narrow it.
Also need to 'teach' the chicks they can go back and forth thru the opening.
I hope that helps.

Easy human access to all chicken habitat is important...as you are now discovering.

Oh it does so much thank you. Yes learning so much. They’re still all resting near each other. It all feels so relaxed right now. And the babies are growing bigger every day.
