Internal pip?

In order to keep the humidity up I have all the water trays full with 2 washcloths, 1 sponge and 1 huge bowl of water. I'm not going to sleep tonight bc of worrying that a chick will hatch and drown in the bowl. Can't wait to have a better incubator.
 
This really helps me me. I have been so stressed watching this little guy, but reading all these replies made me remember al the kids running in and out of the house letting the cold breeze in maybe that is making them be late.
I am really glad I can help. I have learned so much from wonderful people here. I try to pay it forward whenever I can.


Mine are RIR, Wyandotte, Buff Orpington's, Barred Rocks and Australorp crossed with a RIR roo. I hope they hatch, I have their little brooder all set up and ready. It's all I want for Christmas;) I'm using a cheap little giant incubator and I'm about sick of the constant temperature monitoring and bad humidity control. I'm getting a
If those are all LF (large fowl) then the "average" hatch date is at 21 days. But there are many mitigating factors that can make them hatch earlier or later. Such as incubation temps for one.

If you can just keep humidity above 60% that should be enough.
 
I guess I can just calm down and pray that they hatch!

Some of the posts and pics on the first thread are a bit graphic. But I think it is really important to read it and understand what can happen if you help a chick too soon before you try to help one hatch.
