The pattern is almost hypnotizing!!

She looks stunning! I am dying to add more varieties but I want to perfect what I have first. Your birds are looking fantastic!!

It would be cool if we all lived within driving distance.

That would be awsome! I am going for whoever's region has best weather and it's not Washington state. Finding houses within a hours drive of each other would be good.

agree with you 100% .the silver salmon or silver crele pattern is the most attractive .love it my self .
your pullet has a perfect body type and marking .

here my silver salmon pullet ,she look like yours without barring .

the contrast of the 3 colours .Grey .Silver and Salmon is sublime .

both those ladies have earn my respect .they work and knowledge about marans is unmatched . BRAVO TO BOTH OF THEM and all the marans breeders around the world .

I was under the impression that the French delineation had more to do with separation from English Marans, who are clean legged. The French group and the English group have slightly different traits and were bred with different goals in mind.

English marans are accepted by the French Marans Club as variety of marans .
English marans are only bred in a Solid Silver Cuckoo and Black plus Dark cuckoos varieties with a clean legs .a little shorter .lay large dark egg well stable .
the English got into the marans in the early days 20/30th when the marans where not totality bred true in all the varieties . the English did spend a lot time in fixing all the desirable traits into them Except they did not like the feathered legs chooks . not a big deal . SO the English did not take a stable marans and changes them . NOT TRUE .they have been breeding them for a 100 years .they are marans . the rest in politic
most peoples think if any marans chicks showed up without feathered legs ,than they are English type .NOT TRUE .
French never bred a solid Silver Cuckoo .they Bred The Birchen Cuckoo . The English did bred the solid cuckoo and the dark cuckoo.

I agree 110%, Mrs. Bev has been more than amazing in helping me out. She is the best mentor i could ever imagine having! Im ready to start pairing my crele, silver crele and golden salmons up and start hatching. Once i get my flocks built up the silver salmons will be my next variety to create.

I am all for that Maransland, Australia. It would be difficult to get all our Marans there though. I might have to leave my husband here in Washington. I have been trying to get him to move to Florida where we have lots of family and warm but no luck.
