International Black Copper Marans Thread - Breeding to the SOP

I was kind of disappointed in my Black Copper Cockerel. He was quite a bit smaller than my Blue Copper cockerel. I was going to post that but have been so buisy. I went out today and realized he has almost caught up. So far so good but he has a long ways to go. He is my only hope for a Black Copper rooster.

@marchick - I like him a lot, excellent color plus he appears to be free of any parasitic white. I think he will serve you well! Keep him safe.

She is a bcm not blue(I wish). Very happy with the color. Crappy picture in low light doesn’t really do it justice.

I have very good news . a had a visit from a friend of mine haven t seen for a while ,he brought with him a gift .guess what .
1 pair of wheaten .great type pullet .start laying .
and 1 gorgeous Silver cuckoo double barred cockerel , from Import stock . he is stunning .dark eggs genes carrier .
photos of them will be posted soon

I can't wait for my two cockerels to grow up more so that I can ask for everyones opinion on their photos. They're only 8 weeks old at the moment though.

post photos of them if you can .there is some early trait we select for at that age . we can comment on them if we see they photos .

the silver cuckoo cockerel come at the right time . he is really needed . no related to any of my chooks .I have the right hens for him .a lot of them .all my best one .
