Wanted to share pictures of my show birds. They arent my best, I admit but they were in the best feather condition.
Pics 1 and 2 are of the same pullet.

this time I m better prepared and have a better system .
first 4/5 weeks they stay in brooder room ,each box is 8 X 8 feets . enough for 70/80 chicks .
stag 2 ,they get moved to bigger pen .still in the shed but open to air flow ,they still have the heat lamp @night . prepare them for they final outdoor pens and runs .
stage 3 .out door pen with a lot space 10 square metre of space by chooks . cockerels will be separeted from the girls at 4 month old .
I m not going a mix the group .each group this time going to stay by them selves tell adult hold ,take a lot space and coops but yiel better result .

Maybe Malika's son? It's either him, ugly face, or big guy. Which one stays? Even if he stays only as a spare.
For reference, here is is the one we were calling Malika's son. Both pics are of the same bird. I will get more pics of him when I am off work again.

There is one more cockerel free ranging that is a little younger than the rest but he still hasnt grown in a tail.
I really like that idea. I think my goal for next year is to pen the pullets up away from the cockerels like you mentioned. So they feather in better and dont get muddy and get their feathers damaged from being mated.
