He is out of my second batch so he is 6 months old. I was thinking 7 months but he isn't.

he look s good for 6 month ,body pattern complete .the most important thing on the cockerel .after type .

mass I can not tell .you have to weight her , 2.7Kg min .
but I can tell you I do not see any cushioning . sleek back to the tail .

I thought Malika and perfect where the best you have bred .I was wrong .
this baby girls is #1 type /conformation
she has a same body to my best breeder hens this season Dalakhania and Unicorn .

easy to tell her mama ,has to be a Blue hen .
I more happy for you now .I know your flock have a different type of W chromozome .not just Queen s and her girls .

There are some other nice pullets free ranging. I have approximately 20+ Marans pullets free ranging right now so once they mature some more I will look through them more closely. I took a few pictures of some that caught my eye.

Here is another pullet I penned up some time back as a "maybe" breeder. She has marbled eyes. They all need to mature more.

selected and tagged the best chicks from group#1 .9/10 weeks . I had some a trouble to fit the ring in some of them .1 Black cockerel was too big . rest I managed .
from now on I will do them 7/8 weeks .

more chicks hatched this Sunday .BC/BLC .SP .BIR .BTBx best hens .different color chicks.
1 more hatch to go 3 weeks time .
5 broody hens .10/15 eggs each , good year for me .

lot splash chicks 17 hatched all from dark eggs .tree type of eggs from 3 hens .long tubular dark tagged the chicks double Black right leg / oval dark ,double Black Left leg / oval dark dotted one black tag each leg .
rest of a Blue line chicks are tagged just one Black tag right leg .
