I will use clean leg bird in my breeding program if they are of superior qualities .
her a cockerel 9 months old .gorgeous body type /mass and every thing else but he is clean legged bird .will mate him to a well feathered hen. not a big deal .

my youngest group #6 are 16 weeks old now ,moved to they grown up pen .lot space and grass for them .

always go for the body type first ,Dark eggs second .body pattern third ,rest is after .

lay the foundation first ,than build a house second ,roofed third .than come decoration time .not before .

we processed 17 cockerels from group #3 and 6 roosters yesterday . less mouth to feed . move space for the keeper birds and less mouths to feed . happy with they over all mass . well chunky @5 months old .
next weeks I will separate group#4 pullets from cockerels .those ones are actually ok because of the large space they have . they free to go any where in the front orchid 2 acres of space .but still need to separate them so I can make the final selection . 30 to 40 cockerels in this group .
