I did testing comparing the two. The metal dome wins hands down. I have 50w 100w 150w and 200w ones. Yep see I really like them.

Chooksman, I have a Black hen that I didn't know if she was BC or Birchen. I always really liked her. I now see some white on her head and some in hackle but only if light hits her just right. So I believe she is Birchen. What do you think of her? She is skittish so hard to get close. If you zoom on first picture you can see white.

I told everyone I am bad with names. I have names mixed up! Ruby blcm 406 and Jade blcm 409 is in with Blaze BC. Pearl is the original hen. I lost Rose but Lilly is looking better. Rose had a swollen foot.

She is long and thick correct body type. What coulor is her eggs
