International Black Copper Marans Thread - Breeding to the SOP

here arwe some of my breeding chart for my rooster for this breeding season .paper work done ,the coop and the incubation room almost ready .in 2 week time I m going to have some eggs in the bator. can t wait. want to see new chicks .

first chart Vicking 2 and Erickson 2 .both F3 Birchen cockerels
each cockerel is going to cover 3 pens . 6 week duration in each pen

here now White Storm breeding chart . he is exiting rooster to work with a lot different color type I m expecting from him.

I m going to get some Black copper pullet from him .

my friend thinks I lost my mind .

He said to me how are you going to make a white chooks black ?

I told him just wait and stay a life ,only matter of time that all .

the F1 Silver cuckoo hens breeding chart for this season;


all the green marking are the Black copper pullets from better stock .

this sort of calculation helps me to put my breeding pen s together . I like to group the hens not recording to they colors but recording to result I m looking for from the mating .

this way i ll have better understanding how my chooks are put together from scratch .

here my black copper young rooster 10 months old .
dark shoulder and bad comb .his 2 brother are a same dark one but with better comb.

I actually have no work for them this year ,all the hens are fully booked . next year january 2017 when blue copper pullet are fully mature I ll breed them together BCM X BLCM = give a great result .

he is photos shy not like White storm and the others,



the last one with White storm is a BC younger brother better comb

all the 3 are good type and great eyes color.

I m well happy today I received my Maran book ( LA MARANS) plus a new eggs color chart plus 3 magazine .waited 3 month . the first parcel got lost .so they sent another one great service .


a lot good information. the same thing we are saying here in this thread ,nothing new to me just wanted to know how they work around the fault to move the generation forward.

I saw this yesterday on the French Marans Club website but I thought it would not do me much good. I cannot read French. I do like your egg chart better than mine. Looks like my Cuckoos are laying a 2 on your chart.
