LOL.... thanks Chooks man..... I will get some better pictures. He was a good distance away and it was dark thirty, poor light. I only let them out while I clean the pens and refill water/feed. I start about 30 minutes before sunset. I don't think they really understand time, they don't know they have been locked up for 23 1/2 hours! At least they are safe.![]()
he is stunning I don t care about your Antonio . you know I like Claude .
his hackle color look gorgeous now ,
he is the Best body type of all the marans rooster in any forum full stop .this guy carries a train load of goodies need to be revealed .

I belive I'm still going to get them, and I was just looking at one of the 4 I already have and one I bought a 3 day old chick that was suppose to be a BCM cockerel. but it had no color anywhere, just black. but now I see copper coming in on the neck. but still nothing on the wings except the white feathers. it 8-9 weeks old nowAre you still going to get the 4 chicks from the same line as your cockerels or did you decide against that?
Quote: Give them some more time. Those feathers usually disappear..... It is good to have pullets and cockerels from the same line. When they are from different lines you could add different problems to the ones you may have already.
I have never had a BCM that young go broody. My BBS Marans are the broody hens in my flock.I have a BCM pullet that has been laying for about a month, she is 24 1/2 weeks old and she has gone broody. Is this normal for this breed?
Quote: Hard to tell much.... their silhouettes look good. I love how excited you get over every bird even though you have so many!
