International Black Copper Marans Thread - Breeding to the SOP

I like his type . dark shoulder or not he is not going any where . we need to keep mass in our marans ,very important trait . most important than any thing else . marans can not be light weight . we need then to be heavy and solid .
body color we work on that .
you have pullets with great hackle marking from the other line .

I like him too. He is my favorite so far.
It is too bad he lacks copper. Also over feathered feet.

But if you say to work with him then I am happy.

So if I use hens with complete hackles it will improve their progeny?

best head and comb . love his stance . high tail yeah and parasitic white I see that .
what do you like about him .very hard for me to tell from the photos .some thing about him is attractive .

He is attractive but in real life, he looks long and thin compared to the other 2. His body narrows a lot towards the tail.

These are also line #3 cockerels.
There are 2 of them
They are 2 months younger but from the same breeder flock.

This one may also have white underfluff growing in.

This will be my issue in this line.

forget about a white for the moment .
I m interested on his gorgeous copper and complete body pattern .

my friend you can not focus only on they faults ,you have to be able to see where they exile too .what they best trait/traits .
