My thought...if you were breeding towards SOP and selecting hatch down, the darker chick would be more desirable. (Penguin type)Hi guys, I just got two BCM chicks from a hatchery. I know they're obviously hatchery quality, but which chick is better?
One is darker, but the other has more feathers on its legs.

Ok, thanks! I just want whichever one will be more correct looking. I don't have a rooster or anything. Just hope she lays dark-ish eggs! Way too early to see how they develop but I would keep the one leg banded to follow.
