Some pictures of the young marans.
I think we have one DCM and one BCM cockerel, the rest being pullets.

The darkest one with less feathers through is Joannie. The single barred (hen) is Mole, the double barred (cockerel) is Wellington. The other two don’t have names, I might name the BCM boy King Louis, but then again I’ll have to sell him anyway.

Yes I was happy about this. The cuckoos’ eyes are turning green already, the Coppers are still blue.

Am I right in saying that it’s better if they are still blue?

blue green all good as they change many time ,the end result will be bright orange

Thank you..it looks like I have a proper BBS Silver flock now.
2 Blacks, 6 Blues and a Splash hatched to add to Poppy and Solo.
