So I am going to brag on @RedBanks for a bit. I just received the package of eggs from her, and they were wrapped up snug as a bug in a rug. Best packaging job I have ever seen, and I have received quite a few shipped eggs. Not one broken egg in the bunch! Here is a series of pictures I took as I was unboxing them to share her method. I will use this method in the future when I ship eggs. They are truly beautiful Redbanks! Pictures just do not do Marans eggs justice. They are much darker than they appear, my kitchen lighting is bright and unflattering for taking egg pics.

She used a double boxing method. Here is after I opened the outer box. She used egg cartons and foam to cushion the inner box with the eggs inside.
Underneath those cartons was a pulp egg flat.
More pulp cartons cushioning the sides..
Here is the smaller inner box with the eggs inside.
And underneath the smaller box, more foam.
Opened the smaller box, she used newspaper to fill up void space to make the eggs snug and cushion the eggs.
Underneath the newspaper... EGGS!! Wrapped up in bubble wrap, large end up.
Underneath the bubble wrap, the egg was wrapped in soft napkin so the egg could receive oxygen and be protected from the plastic.
The first egg!
Here they are all upwrapped in the egg rack
The eggs were all big, beautiful, and richly colored. They have a gorgeous shape and russet color. They will settle at room temperature for several hours, then into the incubator they will go.
