That makes no sense! So the SOP calls for lacing. The SOP goes against genetics. So it's like the Adams family where genetics don't apply. So Don't go by SOP and we want either the hen or rooster to have lacing. The other one clean breast with no lacing. Did I get that right???![]()

when you pair the breeders only one of them should have the lacing.so they progeny will be correct .or what the SOP call for .
the SOP people do not take decision based on genetic .they take decision based on they taste .what they like
the French bred the marans with feathered shanks and the English bred the feathers out of the shank s nothing to do with genetic here .
we are breeders .we have to keep all the genome of the true breed in our pens .so can produce any type the SOP want . we don t have to make all our chooks SOP type .we will lose most of the genetic make up in our flock .
