@Song girl 11 Black ear tuft, feminine head, softer eye, apparent hackle and just an overall pullet quality. I had one pullet with a big comb and wattles very early. She was also bigger than all of my other pullets. I am still betting on pullet.

Hi guys! I am really enjoying this thread and learning so much! I am new to this breed but I bought some chicks and have ended up with 1 roo and 2 hens. They are 9 weeks old. At what age can you start telling if they will make good breeders?

I have some hope then! So very interesting that it isn't totally apparent yet. He/she is actually bigger than the other guy. He/she appears to have the pointy saddle feathers coming in. But no copper color coming in on the shoulders...it's a mystery!
