Coq 3 is stunning .body color and comb the best out of the 3 cockerels .tail we have to wait tell is fully formed.

his comb going to be nicely formed when adult .nice size too.

between this 3 cockerels you don t need any rooster for years to come. they are all keeper ,each one has some thing to bring to the any breeding program.

all come to how much space you have and how many you can keep for how long.

So I finally have a beginning. This is my third attempt. Third time was a charm. Now I have to keep it going!

One more thing about Coq 3. Until I started the communication with you I thought he was a cull but now that I understand more about how they should look I can see his quality.

you struck lucky this time. just guard them and breed them.

create you own line. breed the sheen out of them( not priority ) and balance the harmonize the copper color ( must ). Keep the type.

all this come to the eggs color. can they lay dark eggs ? that the main thing in the end of the a day.

from 3 roosters and 3 best hens you can create 9 line related but different from each other. if you do than each hen will give you 3 different combination and each rooster will do the same. after the first breeding season you will have 9 combination to chose from. rather than 1 rooster and 5 hens .you only get 5 combination .

parent stock is a same number 6 chooks but the result are different .

We need Chooks Man to answer this. He is the genetics man. I bet this post was lost in the mess last night when we were having difficulty posting.

Hi Cricketfarm ;
what are you trying to say . you hatched 50 chicks they parents are BCM X blue copper OR Black X black?

Black X Black = 100% Black
Black X Blue = 50 % each.
Splash X Black = 100 % Blue

hope that help.

I can not answer your question if the Blue are more rare than the black one .here in Aistralia yeah they are rare and more expensive than the BCM.

I don't know about blue and black cm but I do live on an island. there are some foxes but probably they don't come here because of 6 dogs in a small street where I live.

Hi RedBank

look at Darwin2 hackle .lush ,great coppery color with a minimum of flame.

the flames in his hackle are thinner ,just on the bottom part and minimum .

he s better than his father Darwin 1 better tail .the rest all same .they look a like father and son.

here Darwin 1;
