International Black Copper Marans Thread - Breeding to the SOP

I agree. Once the new place is built we are getting one. The thing that sucks about this being a raccoon is who knows how many there are! And he comes back every night. With our bobcat and our fox we had a shot in the air would spook them enough to stay away a few nights. This one keeps returning!

I don't understand our LP roo. We handled him a ton when he was small and Landon was always around him. It wasn't until the one time I was messing with one of his girls that he freaked out and now he is after me if I look away. I carry a big stick in there and shake it around lik a crazy person lol. Luckily he is separate now and maybe won't be aggressive when he isn't feeling the need to protect.

throw away the stick and give him a big hug instead. that's how I handle my roos and they all are kittens.

He's past hugging to fix him. He has almost taken my eye out twice so I'm not too keen on snuggling with him anyway

Chickengr .

I have a great news for you ,
Monique still have 2 more weeks to go before she separate here breeding flock.
She s welling to send you 1 or 2 dozen of BCM and 1 or 2 dozen Silver cuckoo .
her line are the purest stock in the planet 30 plus years of selective breeding. NO copies .

You are going to have the best of the best. You are in Europe nothing is needed for you to get them . you are not like us stuck , we need so many papers.

Send me your detail ;Mp

Hi RedBank you need quite a few papers to get the import license .

Monique has all the document needed to export to the US. so would be possible for you to get the import permit of a small quantity ( not commercial ) from France?

is only 2 weeks left this season ,but you can organize you self for the next season 2017 . got enough time to sort the permit out if is possible.

Chickengr is lucky she does not need all this bla bla papers to get the eggs from Monique. EE.

RedBank

about a SC pullets you hatch them your self or got them as chicks ?

there is some uniformity there or are just one hen ?

I can see a great GCM line coming out from your LP BCM matted to the SC pullet in the last photos and the photo before t.

Thank you Chooks Man. I am going to call tomorrow and see what it takes. That is a very exciting possibility.

I got them as chicks. They all look exactly alike, some just have a little better comb but body wise they are like peas in a pod. I have 5 pullets, I rehomed 7 cockerels out of that batch. So if I breed these pullets to my BCM I get GCM.

Everything I read says this is really impossible. Eggs don't survive the trip and chickens end up costing thousands. I would have loved to take advantage of the offer.

I hope you get your license.
