I like this shot .
against a blue is cool .I can see his gorgeous comb .that is a plus
his legs well spaced and strait .another plus.

What I wanted to see is here, legs well spaced and straight!

this 2 pullets in photo 1 by them selves are the same one in the front of photo 2 .
Pullet in the back of the photo 1 is a same pullet to the pullets on the left on in the photo 2 .She is a Sleek ,her feathers are well tight free from fluff . plus her neck is sorter and her tail is well formed wide at the bottom and close at the top ( pointed )
Pullet in the front of the photo 1 is a same as pullet on the right in photo 2 . she is scruffy .loose feathers .wider tail and open . longer neck

your strain is darker . good type .
have you hatched them your self ? if yes what egg color they come from ,

I did not hatch them; I bought them as chicks.

They are wonderful. Will the true Columbian have the same hackle? Trying to learn by Marans breeds! HAHA

the colombian marans are genetically incomplete colombian .mean they not like the sussex with a heavy flamed hackle.
le colombian maran has a lighter hackle .pure white at the top and lightly flamed from the bottom part .like .pure white body and a black tail.

basically the are a same to a Black taill buff marain but with a colombian and a silver gene instead of the Db and a Golden genes lite the BTBM.

I found this on the coop floor this afternoon covered in sand. It is not one of my old girls..... they have laid dark eggs but never like this.

The egg next to it is one of the dark eggs from the photo this morning.

catch the pullets who laid that dark n9 egg and mate here to your 3 roosters and create your line based on her as a supreme Dam .hatch every single egg from her ( they will hard to hatch but let see )
