International Black Copper Marans Thread - Breeding to the SOP

I am in North Carolina. is there a link listing breeders in my area?

I have no knowledge of a link that lists the breeders according to an area for French SOP marans, though I believe there is a listing on the american site.

I will link a couple good breeders that have pictures of their birds and that I believe currently or in the near future will have chicks/eggs for sale.

18 Week Old Cockerel.



He has some white tufts coming out on his tush.

your cockerel type wise is good but color wise he is all over the place .he come out of a dark strain .

the white fluff on his back around the tail is a bad thing to have, very hard to breed out .

any way with witch pullets are you thinking of breeding him ?.

Thank you all for your help. I have a few BCM already but from what I have been reading they are not great stock. I will hang around in the background, reading your poststo see if I want to get involved in the breeding of these birds. I have a lot to learn if I go that rout.

I probably will not breed him.
This is My only pullet, non feathered shanks

None feathered legs are easy to fix. I put feathered legs on 12 olive eggers in one generation. Her eye looks dark but I can't tell much else. Nice copper coming.
