The chicks are still in the house..... when I clean the brooders they all go in the basket and Gus keeps an eye on them. Going to get them out today while I still have good weather. I don't see too many cockerels but I haven't really looked too hard. It has been a very busy time here. It is funny, if you show me a picture of your chick I can instantly tell you gender. I keep second guessing myself on these but that won't last much longer. Soon there will be no doubts. I think what is confusing me is there seem to be so many pullets! Yeah! I will post pics when there is something to see. They're growing!
I love the basket! Now who's getting fancy with their chicken photography?![]()
Adds a little pop to an already pretty egg basket!I took a couple pictures of my pullet's first egg. I don't have a color chart so I just surrounded it with RSL eggs and a white egg from my cali grey girl.

thank you.
I would prefer to keep animals separately. btw pigs would be guards and near the fence. unfortunately in the area where I want to move there are a lot of unemployed pakistanian people. hopefully they would not enter the place where the pigs are.
I have read somewhere in internet not to keep pigs and goats together as pigs might eat goats. is there any truth in that?
don t believe in what they say in the internet .
chicken and the goat in one pen . chooks will keep the pen clean from the ticks and bugs.
the pig can go to another pen with a chooks too . chooks always do a good job cleaning after them . watch the pig will find and eat the eggs not the goat my friend .
the day you get the land I ll help you design it .
which you all the best luck .
