I like this BC young rooster . need more photos of him from different angles ?

if we mate him to your Blue copper pullets .he ll throw some well marked pullets Black and Blue

I thank you soo much for sharing you knowledge. I want to work on combs and only combs. I kept three cocks this year that have not so good combs. I have 21 hens to choose from to improve combs. Thanks for the help.

you only need one hen with a great comb and your problem will be over .

when I work to fix the comb I go for the hen with a good comb .I found they have more dominance in this area .

he could be mated to your black copper pullets . will produce nice and well colored progeny . I need to see his comb first

He does have a uneven comb and gap.

Chooksman, Now that I look at the last picture of the funny comb Marans. I am not sure if thats the same rooster. I will try and take pictures tomorrow. I am sure now those are two different roosters! Sorry!

he look s good to me .we have to wait to see how his tail is going to look like .

body color he is stunning ,rich ,red copper . very good .

this rooster is comb is only bad at the end part the lobe is not smooth .has many points .
but the comb it self has a good size .good define points few extra by US SOP, good base /blade and front .

this cockerel has ELEGANCE and great tail . comb is not perfect , neither horrible .

I always select for Elegance . I avoid the goofy type and the shy type .when come to cockerels selection . very importance if you want to breed gorgeous looking bird . high class show birds . not just correct .they have to be attractive too . so the judges will know it is your line . because of the ELEGANCE.

I do like this rooster. The two points that I don't like is funny comb and he has one white feather in his one foot. I like his heft.

this cockerel comb is not bad at all .I think it is the best one you have .
the lobe is clean and lifted .
the points are well defined.
the front need a little tidy .it is strong and straight .

you are not far of at all my friend .

you should see the comb of my Ugly Hypo cuckoo rooster .you ll cry for a month or more .

This is the only BLCM rooster that doesn't have any white feathers.
He isn't quite as hefty but younger than the funny comb Marans.
